Canoo’s Lifestyle Vehicle (LV) completely re-engineers traditional vehicle design. By reducing wasted space and providing exceptional utility to the user, the LV eliminates compartmentalization and provides users with a loft on wheels. With the interior space of a large SUV and the exterior footprint of a compact car, the LV holds enough space for seven people inside a cabin designed to feel like a living area. The wrap-around rear seats allow people to lounge without pressing shoulders with their neighbor.

The mid-century modern styled front seats come packed with features, including rear-facing jump seats. Canoo’s proprietary architecture enables all Canoo vehicles to share the same Multi-Purpose Platform, reducing manufacturing costs which can be passed on to the user. The vehicle is controlled by a true steer-by-wire system that has no direct mechanical connection to the wheels. Steer-by-wire technology helps future-proof the vehicle, allowing the steering wheel to be moved anywhere in the front or rear of the platform and is set up to integrate autonomous driving.

The Lifestyle Vehicle is designed with driver safety in mind, offering a full suite of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) that use 7 cameras, 5 radars, and 6 ultra-short-range sensors employing deep learning algorithms to perceive the world around the vehicle. 22 windows reduce driver blind spots, including a front-of-vehicle street view window. A single permanent magnet synchronous electric motor powers the Canoo with up to 350hp and can be configured in front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, and all wheel drive. The batteries are integrated directly into the platform, have a range of 200 miles, and can utilize level 2 DC fast charging to increase charge from 20% to 80% in 32 minutes.
